Application of Z2105AX-T in Municipal Street Light Charging Stations with 4G/5G

Background

As environmental awareness increases and countries worldwide promote new energy vehicles (NEVs), NEVs are set to occupy a significant place in the future automotive market. Previously, the lack of charging stations and related infrastructure limited the development of electric vehicles. However, this issue is being progressively resolved. Both the State Grid Corporation of China and China Southern Power Grid have invested heavily in constructing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and related facilities. With plans to build large-scale EV charging stations and charging piles nationwide, the construction of these facilities has entered a fast track.

Solution

An integrated design solution based on municipal street lights and EV charging piles can effectively utilize the saved power capacity from upgraded street lights to install DC charging piles. These integrated charging piles, widely distributed along city streets, ensure efficient road lighting while providing charging interfaces for electric vehicles. Equipped with protection, monitoring, control, communication, and metering functions, they facilitate remote monitoring and control of street lights and EV charging states by the central system. This solution is highly feasible, suitable for large-scale implementation, and addresses the challenges of land acquisition in the construction of charging piles and stations. Utilizing 4G/5G wireless communication, it resolves network cabling difficulties and meets the high data transmission speed requirements of devices like video surveillance.

Based on this, we propose an integrated street light charging pile system using the ZBT Z2105-T and a 5G module communication private network. This system leverages 4G/5G wireless communication networks instead of wired broadband public networks, offering fast data transmission, low latency, cost efficiency, and support for numerous real-time users, thus supporting functions like video surveillance effectively.

System Structure

The system primarily comprises integrated municipal street light charging equipment, a low-voltage DC power network, the ZBT-Z2105-T wireless communication network, a central monitoring system, a power system, and a data center. The integrated municipal street light charging equipment serves dual purposes: providing high-efficiency, low-energy street lighting and DC charging services for electric vehicles. The ZBT-Z2105-T wireless communication network ensures reliable, high-speed communication, supporting the real-time transmission of control commands, monitoring data, video surveillance, and advertisement distribution, all while reducing communication costs.

The central monitoring system uses the wireless communication module to receive real-time monitoring information from integrated devices, including street light switch status, charging pile operational status, and video surveillance data. For electric vehicles equipped with the ZBT-Z2105-T private network communication module, the central monitoring system can also receive request commands and other data, process them through the control system, and send appropriate responses via the communication module. The ZBT-Z2105-T wireless communication equipment allows easy management of the operational status of street lights, charging pile information, third-party platform data interaction, and road video surveillance.

Product Overview

Adopting a new generation of wireless technology solutions, the Z2105AX-T offers stable performance and enriched functionalities, providing users with an enhanced experience. With a wireless transmission rate of 1800M for 2.4G and 5.8G, it features one self-ejecting SIM interface, one QFN-8 (6mmx5mm) eSIM interface supporting SIM/USIM, and excellent functional expandability. The MINIPCIE interface can load a 5G module as per customer requirements, supporting up to 867Mbps transmission rates (depending on the module), and can also accommodate 3G and 4G modules for internet access via built-in SIM cards.

The router can be housed in a metal box for rain and dust protection and can receive signals with an extended 4G antenna. It boasts a robust intelligent anti-drop line mechanism, ensuring continuous online wireless communication. It is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, moisture, and lightning, maintaining stable operation in various harsh climatic conditions.

ZBT Cloud Management Platform

The ZBT cloud management platform allows for the integration of router devices distributed across different locations into a unified management system. The platform interface is divided into sections for all devices, online lists, offline lists, and alarm lists, enabling users to view information for all devices bound to their account, including both online and offline devices. The operation command bar offers executable commands for devices, such as restart, change management password, upgrade firmware, modify 2.4G configuration, modify 5G configuration, and other operations.

Alarms are triggered when bound devices switch lines between the WAN port and 4G, or when memory usage or load is excessively high.

This comprehensive solution highlights the Z2105AX-T's capabilities in supporting the development of smart cities through efficient and reliable integrated street light and charging pile systems, paving the way for a greener and more connected future.
