Built for Uptime: Inside the WE2805-A-KC Industrial 4G LTE Router
For connected equipment in retail, IoT and enterprise environments, network resilience matters more than headline speed. The ZBT WE2805-A-KC combines stable 4G LTE connectivity, 300Mbps 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and hardware-level recovery in a compact platform designed for dependable deployment.

The operational case
Connectivity that can recover without a site visit
Remote routers often operate where technical support is not immediately available. A frozen system or failed mobile connection can interrupt payments, telemetry, monitoring or machine-to-machine communication. The WE2805-A-KC addresses this risk with a built-in hardware watchdog that checks the routing system heartbeat every second.
If the heartbeat is lost for 120 seconds, the watchdog restarts the complete system within 15 seconds. The routing system can also control the 4G module power independently and power-cycle a module that fails to dial. The result is a practical layer of self-recovery for distributed deployments.
Platform
MediaTek MT7628NN, MIPS24KEc, up to 580MHz
Wireless
2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, 2T2R MIMO, up to 300Mbps
Cellular interface
SMT LCC+LGA module interface supporting 3G and 4G
Memory
64MB DDR2 RAM and 8MB NOR flash
Deployment flexibility
A configurable foundation for regional projects
The SMT LCC+LGA cellular architecture allows buyers to match the mobile module to regional frequency requirements. Four removable external antennas, two for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and two 5dBi antennas for 4G, support practical installation and antenna positioning.
The router supports ZBT OS and OpenWrt firmware, giving integrators a familiar foundation for project-specific network configuration. A 6–14V working input range, with 12V rated operation, also supports integration into fixed equipment. For battery or vehicle-powered projects, appropriate anti-static and anti-surge protection should be included in the system design.
Where it fits
Designed for focused, always-connected applications
The WE2805-A-KC is a strong fit for projects that need reliable 4G access and straightforward 2.4GHz local connectivity rather than high-bandwidth dual-band Wi-Fi. Typical applications include:
- Retail terminals, kiosks and digital signage
- Remote monitoring and IoT gateways
- Industrial equipment and unattended installations
- Enterprise branch or backup connectivity
- Region-specific OEM and ODM router programs
Plan the right configuration before deployment
Cellular bands, firmware requirements, power conditions and deployment scale should be confirmed early. ZBT can help overseas B2B buyers evaluate the appropriate module configuration and discuss OEM or ODM requirements for their market.
