Bank ATM Wireless Networking Solutions

By integrating industrial cellular routers with APN and VPN encryption functions, ATM networks are made more convenient, secure, and reliable, safeguarding both bank's and depositors' interests.

Background

In the financial sector, the ATM network is a vital part of the banking infrastructure. ATMs are typically located in high-traffic areas such as subway stations, supermarkets, shopping malls, and hospitals. In locations where setting up a wired network is not feasible, wireless networking becomes essential for ensuring communication between the ATM terminals and the control center.

To address this, industrial routers equipped with APN networks and VPN encryption provide a seamless, secure solution for connecting ATMs to banking systems, ensuring data integrity and enhancing security for both banks and customers.

How It Works

The industrial router connects to the internet via the 4G network and establishes a secure VPN connection with the bank's central system. This creates a virtual local area network (VLAN) between the ATM and the bank's central systems, enabling direct communication with the bank's servers. The business data generated by each ATM is securely transmitted to the bank's central server through the communication channel set up by the router.

This setup ensures that ATM transactions are processed efficiently while maintaining high levels of security and reliability, protecting sensitive financial data from unauthorized access.
